Courtney is originally from Alexandria, VA, where her love for baking started at a young age. From baking Pillsbury cookies with her grandmother to making christmas treats with her mom for the holidays, baking has always been her favorite thing in the world. After working her senior year of high school at a local bakery, she knew her path was to go to school for baking. After attending Johnson and Wales and falling in love with the queen city, she made Charlotte her new home. Headed into her last year of college she found herself working as a server for ROOTS Catering. After a few months working with ROOTS and seeing the amazing work they did, she joined the kitchen team and worked her way to becoming the Executive Pastry Chef.
In 2022, after 5 years with ROOTS Catering, Courtney started Ville Reine Bakery. The bakery is the newest business within the ROOTS Food Co portfolio.
